Opposition: If political prisoners won't be released, it means the talks are wrecked

“If the political prisoners won’t be released, it means the talks are wrecked in which case the opposition will continue the parliamentary boycott,” the opposition parties stressed in a joint statement.

Opposition parties pointed out that “their goal is to reach an agreement on this issue.”

“If political prisoners won’t be released, Ivanishvili and his team will be personally responsible for the failure to change the electoral system. This will also damage Georgia.

Our task is to reach this agreement, to make all changes in Georgia peacefully, within the framework of the constitution,” the opposition said in a statement.

Representatives of the opposition parties held a meeting at the Labor Party office earlier today.
