Organization of Corridors of Shame at polling stations violates constitutional right of citizens, puts public security at threat and contains signs of crime – Kakhaber Sabanadze, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs said at the briefing.

According to Sabanadze, such a move directly intimidates voters and forces them to reject participation in the elections against their free will.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on political groups for not leading activities that represent law violations under Criminal Code of Georgia and warns that the ministry will act in compliance with the law,” Sabanadze said.

One part of the opposition plans to organize Corridors of Shame on November 21, the day of the second round of 2020 parliamentary elections, at polling stations.
