Georgia reports 538 coronavirus cases, 41 deaths, 2 766 recoveries

Georgia reported 538 coronavirus cases, 41 deaths, and 2 766 recoveries on Monday, Berdia Sichinava, representative of the Interagency Coordination Council, said.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 257 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 68 cases, and the Imereti region with 55 cases.

Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 222 143, among them 206 313 people recovered and 2 418 died.

There are 427 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 5 624  Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1 311 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

Currently, there are 1 019 critical patients, among them, 376 require mechanical ventilation.
