According to National Statistics Office of Georgia, External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 4 959.0 million in January-May 2019, 1.0 percent higher year-on-year.

The value of export increased by 14.2 percent reaching USD 1 466.8 million, while the import decreased by 3.6 percent and amounted to USD 3 492.3 million.

The trade deficit equaled USD 2 025.5 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 40.8 percent.
