Davit Zalkaliani: Our government's commitment to the Euro-Atlantic course is a guarantee of the country's development

Georgia is ready to submit a formal application for EU membership in 2024, – said Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani while presenting the foreign policy direction of the Georgian Dream election program.

He said that this is an ambitious statement but behind this decision is the right policy pursued by the government in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, the implemented reforms, and the irreversibility of the democratic development of the country.

“We are as close to Europe as ever, as never before. This is the result of the consistent, correct, and thoughtful foreign policy pursued by the Georgian Dream government for the last eight years,” – said David Zalkaliani.
The Minister noted that the government of the Georgian Dream reflected the course of Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration in the Constitution.

According to David Zalkaliani, this is the most important statement and another guarantee for the development of the country’s foreign policy in the right direction.
