Christine Lagarde starts working meetings in Tbilisi

Christine Lagarde, Managing Director (MD) and Chairwoman of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) starts working meetings in Tbilisi today.

Managing Director of IMF will meet with Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, after the meeting a joint press conference is planned to be held at the government administration.

The meeting is also planned with Georgia’s President Salome Zurabishvili and President of National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Koba Gvenetadze. Christine Lagarde will meet students of higher education institutions and young entrepreneurs.

Managing Director of IMF arrived in Georgia yesterday.

Having served her first five-year term, Christine Lagarde was re-appointed in July 2016 for a second term on the post of Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
