20th victim of COVID-19 suffered from underlying disease

A 60-year-old patient from Russia-occupied Abkhazia, who died of coronavirus today, had an underlying disease, said Marina Ezugbaia, medical director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital.

The coronavirus patient was undergoing medical treatment in Kutaisi Infectious Diseases Hospital.

A 20th patient has died of COVID-19 in the country today.

In addition, 193 new cases of coronavirus and 40 recoveries have been reported in the past 24 hours.

Georgia’s COVID-19 cases reached 3 695. The number of cured patients stands at 1 534.

Currently, 4 988 people are under quarantine and 836 more under medical observation.
