At the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Affairs, the Youth Agency announces a grant competition in connection with International Youth Day observed on August 12.
The competition “Strengthening Youth Organisations” aims to promote civic responsibility of youngsters and their participation in public and democratic processes. The grant projects should prioritise the promotion of volunteer activities, the resolution of conflicts through intercultural dialogue, the integration of ethnic minorities, and the encouragement of entrepreneurial initiatives and employment opportunities.
The project may also focus on initiatives for young people with disabilities, services for local residents residing in the occupied regions, and the development of digital skills. Additionally, the grant initiative could promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, environmental protection, the prevention of violence and addictions, and early marriages.
Non-commercial organisations are eligible to participate. The total budget of the competition is GEL 400,000. The maximum amount that can be requested to finance a single grant project is GEL 50,000.
The Ministry stated that applications will be accepted from August 12 to 31 via email at [email protected].
