World Figure Skating Championships: Metelkina-Berulava’s pair delivers strong short program, finishes second [Video] #1TVSPORT

On the opening day of the World Figure Skating Championships in Prague, the pairs’ ice dance competition took centre stage. Olympic vice-champions Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava performed their short programme brilliantly, earning 79.45 points, their season’s best.

Following them, the German pair Volodin-Hase took to the ice, scoring 79.78 points to slightly surpass the Georgian duo and claiming first place after the short.

The world champion in pairs will be crowned today. Metelkina and Berulava, currently in second, will perform their free programme at 21:15 on March 26.
