Following three matches in qualifying Group E, Willy Sagnol’s side have accumulated three points. For the crucial encounter with Turkiye, Georgia welcomes back key figure Luka Lochoshvili, who missed the Spain fixture due to a yellow card suspension.

Against Spain, the Georgian manager substituted several of his key players early to give them vital rest, repeatedly emphasizing the decisive importance of the match against Turkiye. At the pre-match press conference, Sagnol declared that playing at a World Cup represents the dream of every Georgian footballer, and that his team must not lose focus in this pivotal encounter.

Georgia’s opponents approach this significant game in buoyant mood, having beaten Bulgaria 6-1 in Sofia on October 11, significantly improving their goal difference in the group.
