President of Georgia Salome Zourabishvili and WHO Regional Director for Europe, Hans Kluge, discussed pandemic management issues at the meeting held on Tuesday.
The meeting addressed the measures taken by Georgia in healthcare and the COVID-19 vaccine.
The parties emphasized the importance of a universal health care program as an efficient tool for health service access. The President spoke about the need for more software integration and participation of Georgia in programs available to the EU countries.
Salome Zourabishvili touched upon the difficulties of managing pediatric oncologic diseases in Georgia and the need for active initiatives and international assistance. The representative of the World Health Organization has expressed readiness for further involvement in the management of the oncologic disease.
