We have tangible progress in almost all directions, PM Garibashvili says

“We have tangible progress in almost all directions,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili delivered his closing remarks on the government performance and ten-year development plan.

However, PM deems it as not enough.

“Seven years ago, on June 27, we signed the Association Agreement. We achieved a visa-free regime and free trade with the EU. We have tangible progress in almost every area, including human rights, healthcare, education, sports, culture, police and security service, army. Is that enough? Of course, not. Our main challenge is poverty. The state subsidizes more than half a million today. There are 180,000 children among them,” Irakli Gharibashvili said.

The Head of the Government pointed out that the memories of the past are helpful, although there is a need to think about the future.
