Vice Speaker warns of "conspiracy" behind EP's call to opposition; EU aims to install puppet regime in Georgia
“We should not rule out a dark, conspiratorial plan behind the European Parliament’s appeal to the so-called opposition, stating that nothing has changed since the first resolution adopted against Georgia,” First Vice-Speaker of Parliament Gia Volski declared.
According to him, the goal remains the same – Georgia should be governed by a puppet regime, which would be used for global processes underway worldwide.
“The essence of the so-called opposition has not changed – just as they were supporters and creators of a criminal system before, they remain the same. Now the question is which path they will choose to remain both on the political surface and in political life while simultaneously achieving their own goals. Of course, the European Parliament’s attitude should not be taken out of context, and this appeal would be normal if normal relations were developing between the European Parliament and Georgia. But behind this lies an undisguised demand for sanctions and the elevation of criminals as torchbearers and beacons of democracy, an attempt to whitewash the United National Movement,” Gia Volski stated.
According to him, part of the UNM calls people toward bloodshed and adoption of resolutions, while another part sees results in elections.
“Their scenario can be read in the European Parliament resolution. It doesn’t matter what they call for; what matters is what happens. One thing is what you write another is what you mean. Behind this, we should not rule out a dark, conspiratorial plan that has not changed since the first resolution adopted against Georgia. The goal remains the same – Georgia should be governed by a puppet regime, which will be used for processes underway in the world,” Gia Volski declared.
The European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee approved the amended annual report on Georgia, which states that “the upcoming municipal elections in 2025 are another test of the resilience of Georgia’s democracy and political pluralism. As a result, MEPs call on the country’s opposition to seize this opportunity to reflect the unity of the Georgian people in support of democracy and the rule of law, as already demonstrated by the peaceful protests that followed October’s elections.”
