Nikoloz Samkharadze meets UN Resident Coordinator Didier Trebucq

The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, MP Nikoloz Samkharadze, has met with the UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia, Didier Trebucq, the Parliament of Georgia reported.

According to the legislature, regional security issues featured prominently on the agenda.

“During the meeting, the parties discussed key priority areas under the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for 2026–2030, its implementation mechanisms, the progress of ongoing UN projects across the country, and existing challenges.

“Attention was drawn to the situation in the wider region, energy security matters, and Georgia’s strategic role in enhancing East-West connectivity. Nikoloz Samkharadze also briefed the UN Resident Coordinator on the current situation in Georgia’s occupied territories,” the parliamentary press office stated.
