Vice Speaker Volski: Radical opposition misleads partners into believing economic sabotage amplifies destabilization pressure

“The radical opposition is convincing its partners that complete sabotage and economic strikes are necessary to escalate the current crisis and increase pressure for destabilization,” stated Gia Volski, First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament.

According to Volski, there is a stark contrast in the European Union’s response to different crises, noting that while it provides multi-million euro aid to Syria—where the killing of political opponents, including children, is rampant—it simultaneously supports a policy of sanctions against Georgia.

“Rumors are suggesting that their revolutionary plans have faltered, prompting the need for a harder line against the Georgian government. They undoubtedly have a vested interest in pursuing such actions for fabricated reasons. The radical opposition is deeply engaged in this effort, persuading their partners that complete sabotage, economic strikes, and the orchestration of chaos in Georgia are essential to amplify pressures on the government, ultimately paving the way for their revolutionary scenario. Thus far, this strategy has failed; both Germany and the broader European Union cannot disguise their political interests in this matter.

Meanwhile, the inertia of the Scholz government persists—a collective of individuals systematically organized to undermine Georgia. This is what I would call ‘evil pragmatism,'” Volski concluded.
