Vasil Maglaperidze: Students of non-Georgian language schools will be core target of Georgian First Channel's new project "Our Georgian Language"
“Students of non-Georgian language schools will be the main target of Georgian First Channel’s new project – “Our Georgian Language” so that they will be able to fully involve in public life,” said Vasil Maglaperidze, Director General of Georgian First Channel said today.
As Maglaperidze noted, with this particular project, “Georgian First Channel is about to launch a large program, which envisages overcoming the problem in the nearest future, which poses a serious burden and challenge for the state.”
“Within the framework of the project – ” Our Georgian Language ” – an online olympiad for non-Georgian language students is about to start. Of caurse, only Georgian First Channel is not able to solve this problem as complex measures are needed here. However, Georgian First Channel will do its best to solve the problem as far as possible,” Vasil Maglaperidze stressed.
The registration for ” Our Georgian Language ” is underway. The projects aims to popularize Georgian Language. On top of that, the project envisages holding an online olympiad of Georgian language for non-Georgian language schools in Georgian regions. Seventh graders will be able to participate in the online olympiad.
Each participant will receive a certificate of participation. Three winners of the project will receive prizes. In addition, Georgian language and literature teachers of the winners will also be awarded.
The registration of Azerbaijani and Armenian school students kicked off on May 11, 2020.
