The issue of electing the member of the Board of Trustees does not concern to anyone from this meeting, – Vasil Maghlaperidze, General Director of Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) said when commenting about the photo published by Rustavi 2 TV Company.

“How this meeting can be described as secret when it took place in a crowded site of central part of the city, in the day time”- Maghlaperidze said. In addition he noted that he cannot recall what issues were discussed during the meeting.

“As it turned out, overhearing  other’s conversations is the sickness from which is difficult to get rid of.

I do not recommend those whose past is spoiled to remind about themselves to the public on such grounds.

As for that foolishness how we held a “secret meeting” in a cafe located in the central part of the city during the day time,  and the lady-member of “Euro-Nats” turned out to be there,  whom I know and would definitely invite to join us, if she were there.

I think this meeting took place two months ago and I do not even remember what we were talking about. Commenting on this foolishness, I can tell you that there was no issue on electing the members of the Board in the agenda that time, especially in January. Even more, it was impossible to discuss this issue, as if my friends advised me to exert influence on the Board in order to elect Zaza Shatirishvili. First of all, the board has no authority to elect its members and the second, electing the member of the Board did not concern to anyone, who attended this meeting. May be this is one of the forms of political struggle. I do not believe that this is the current level of Georgian journalism”, – Vasil Maghlaperidze said.
