UNM's Pavlenishvili: PM Kobakhidze knows he is betraying Georgia by putting its interests aside
“Kobakhidze is well-versed in international law and knows he is betraying his country by prioritising personal and political interests over national ones,” Irakli Pavlenishvili, Deputy Secretary General of the United National Movement, stated.
According to Pavlenishvili, Georgia had a legitimately elected government during the August 2008 war.
“You all know very well that Georgia had a legitimately elected government, and the level of support it enjoyed then is unlikely to have been matched by any recent Georgian government. We understand the gravity of these accusations because, even under the Milosevic regime, the Serbs paid a heavy price. Irakli Kobakhidze is fully aware of international law and knows he is betraying the country, neglecting its interests,” Pavlenishvili stated.
