UNM's Pavlenishvili expect unprecedented gathering of Georgians on October 4
“What will happen on October 4, you will see on October 4. We are confident that an unprecedented number of Georgians will come together,” declared Irakli Pavlenishvili, Deputy Secretary General of the United National Movement opposition party.
According to him, this is a genuine protest by the Georgian people.
“Of course, there are many rumours, but the truth is straightforward: October 4 is a date belonging to the Georgian people, not to any particular individual, including Paata Burchuladze, who was the first to announce this specific date. The overwhelming majority of Georgians agree that Ivanishvili’s regime must be removed. Throughout this process, the Georgian Dream has been using various names for propaganda purposes.
As October 4 approaches, we will see more propaganda and lies, attempting to portray this as a protest linked to specific individuals rather than a collective movement of the Georgian people against Ivanishvili’s regime.
Paata Burchuladze may be meeting with many people, but this is fundamentally a protest of the Georgian nation. I do not attend meetings. I am confident that an unprecedented number of Georgians will gather on October 4; so many, in fact, that even the most sophisticated propaganda efforts will be powerless to diminish their numbers.
What will happen on October 4, you will see it on October 4. The key point is that the Georgian people must reclaim the power that Ivanishvili and this small circle of criminals have seized. The most important thing is that this was achieved on October 4. You will see how and in what way,” Irakli Pavlenishvili concluded.
