UNM’s Parulava: We will not join a doomed process built on attacking our allies and anti-Misha rhetoric
“Competition within the United National Movement is important, but this does not mean there will be ageism in the party; there will be competition involving both new and old faces, as we are a political force that has previously been in government. This political force has its own legacy, and respecting this legacy is the duty of us all,” member of the United National Movement Lasha Parulava stated.
According to him, repression and terror have weakened the party, just as they have affected all political parties.
“We are currently engaged in a street-level process. Repression and terror have weakened our political force, much like every other political party. Bidzina Ivanishvili is responsible for this, whose team filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court to ban political parties. If anyone is to blame for this harsh reality, it is solely Bidzina Ivanishvili.
Naturally, we will have nothing to do with people who have chosen an ‘anti-Misha’ stance as a path to political capital. Obviously, this can never be a formula for victory, and where there is no victory, the United National Movement will not be present. We will not participate in a process destined for defeat. Our goal is to create a winning format, and this winning format, of course, means unity with anyone who wants a Georgia without Ivanishvili.
We are preparing for a structural transformation to effectively compete against the Ivanishvili regime. Wherever there is an anti-Misha sentiment and attacks on our friends and colleagues, such as Levan Khabeishvili and Irakli Nadiradze, we simply will not participate,” Lasha Parulava stated.
