UNM’s Khabeishvili: Remove batteries from remote controls, turn off your TVs, and come to Rustaveli Avenue
“Remove batteries from remote controls, turn off your TVs, and come to Rustaveli Avenue,” is the rallying call of Levan Khabeishvili, the imprisoned Chairman of the United National Movement’s (UNM) Political Council, addressed to the people of Georgia, delivered from prison by his lawyer, Lasha Tkesheladze.
Khabeishvili urges people not to stay at home in front of the TV on October 4, but to head out onto the capital’s main avenue to celebrate the victory. According to the lawyer, Levan Khabeishvili is urging people to remove the batteries from their remote controls, switch off their televisions, and head to Rustaveli Avenue on October 4.
“Nobody should stay at home watching TV; everyone must come to Rustaveli Avenue on Victory Day and witness our victory together,” Khabeishvili declared.
