UNM’s Khabeishvili calls for peaceful overthrow of Ivanishvili’s regime on October 4

“Together, we must ensure the peaceful overthrow of the regime on October 4,” declared Levan Khabeishvili, a member of the United National Movement (UNM).

Khabeishvili believes that the Georgian Dream party is rife with internal conflicts.

“We must guarantee the peaceful ousting of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime on October 4. Otherwise, he will not only ban political parties but also suppress diverse viewpoints—he will do everything to maintain control. In fact, the opposition and civil society are already marginalised, and many politicians are imprisoned.

Our only salvation now lies in internal confrontation within the regime. We have a former prime minister, a former head of the State Security Service, and a former Minister of Internal Affairs—all opposition figures. People should take advantage of this internal discord, which won’t be resolved for a long time.

Therefore, we must ensure the peaceful overthrow of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime on October 4,” he emphasised.
