Police arrest one in Marneuli over 1,750-lari furniture scam

Police in Marneuli have arrested a man on fraud charges.

Investigators found that the suspect promised a resident of Marneuli Municipality that he would make furniture for 1,750 lari. He took the money but never delivered the order.

He was arrested on a court order.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 180(2) of the Criminal Code, which carries a sentence of up to seven years in prison.
