UNM: Our country lost a historic opportunity

“Unfortunately, our country and our state have lost another historic opportunity to pave the way for our country’s future in the EU and NATO through an agreement between the political parties. We failed to do what our strategic allies expected,” Salome Samadashvili, a member of the United National Movement, said.

According to her, the opposition agreed to three points in the document and proposed compromise options to the government on the political prisoners and election issues.

Christian Danielsson, a personal envoy of the European Council President Charles Michel, said after the talks today that none of the parties agreed on a solution.

Besides, EU mediator Christian Danielson published the proposals made to political parties.
