UNM members released, trial postponed

Nika Melia, Bacho Dolidze, and Zviad Kuprava, members of the opposition United National Movement party, have been released from the courtroom, and their trial has been postponed. The postponement was granted following a motion by their lawyer. The new trial date is set for October 23 at 12:00.

The UNM members were arrested two days ago during a confrontation in Gldani.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the confrontation, the detained individuals prevented law enforcement officers from performing their duty, verbally and physically assaulted them, and resisted arrest.
