UNM member says former chair’s initiative has nothing in common with unity

The initiative of Nika Melia, former chair of the United National Movement (UNM) party, over the establishment of the Trust Council as the only decision-making body based on the parity principle, has nothing in common with unity, said Giorgi Botkoveli, a UNM member.

“Making offerings to those let down by ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili and the UNM is at odds with the principles of unity. The Trust Council or Group obstructs unity. A document will be published at Mikheil Saakashvili’s initiative, and those who believe they should participate in this unity are encouraged to attend and sign it,” Botkoveli said.
