UNM Chair, Political Secretary meet President, FM of Moldova

Chair and Political Secretary of the United National Movement (UNM) party, Tina Bokuchava and Giorgi Baramidze, met President of Moldova Maia Sandu and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mihail Popșoi, the UNM’s press service reported.

According to Tina Bokucava, the visit of Weimar Triangle leaders (a political and diplomatic forum for cooperation between France, Germany, and Poland) to Chișinău on the occasion of Moldova’s Independence Day confirms that the EU is making efforts in the accession of Moldova into the union.

Bokuchava said Georgian people were also expected in the European community, and doubling of efforts was essential not to remove Georgia’s issue from the international agenda.

“Today we met President Maia Sandu and the Foreign Minister of Moldova following the historic event of marking Moldova’s Independence Day and in supporting Moldova’s EU accession. All three leaders of the Weimar Triangle – Emmanuel Macron, Donald Tusk and Friedrich Merz are here in Chișinău, which confirms that the EU is putting efforts into the accession of Moldova into the union, which is the guarantor of peace, freedom and European prosperity across the European space.

This opportunity is deprived by Ivanishvili’s criminal gang, while the Georgian people are also expected in the European family. This opportunity is on a palm to reach. Therefore, we should double our efforts both on the foreign arena and inside the country, not to remove Georgia’s issue from the international agenda, and through synchronized processes bring the change and redivert Georgia to the European integration path,” Tina Bokuchava said.
