UNM Chair meets with Latvian FM Baiba Braže, UNM press service reports

Following a bilateral meeting with Lithuania’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Odra Plepītė, held on the sidelines of the European People’s Party (EPP) Political Assembly, Tina Bokuchava, Chairperson of the United National Movement, alongside Foreign Secretary Zurab Tchiaberashvili, also convened with Latvia’s Foreign Minister, Baiba Braže.

According to the UNM party, the primary focus of the discussion was the sanctions to be imposed on the Ivanishvili regime.

The party’s statement recalls that “the meeting’s main topic was the imposition of sanctions on the Ivanishvili regime.”

“During the talks, the chairperson emphasised that Georgian citizens should not be penalised because of Ivanishvili and his regime. She underscored the importance of preserving visa-free travel and called for sanctions to be targeted specifically at Ivanishvili, his associates, propagandists, and those who daily violate the rights of the Georgian people,” the United National Movement reported.
