UNM Chair: Court verdict prosecutes every person who stand on the right side of history

“The verdict made at today’s court hearing prosecutes every person who stands on the right side of history rather than against one person,” said Nika Melia, Chairman of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) Party.

“The government prosecutes everybody, who want better tomorrow, developed Georgia. We face the dilemma – free or enslaved Georgia, dignified Georgia or occupants’ shackles. The current regime acts with violence, we uphold the truth,” Nika Melia said.

The UNM Chair said Georgian people won politically, morally. He also thanked opposition politicians gathered at UNM office and his supporters for solidarity.

“I want the whole public to know that all political signs are erased. There is national movement on one side and occupants’ interests and Ivanishvili’s representatives on the other side,” Melia claimed.

Tbilisi City Court Judge Nino Chakhnashvili ruled imprisonment for Nika Melia, Chairman of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) Party.
