Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the Unity-National Movement coalition announced to hold a march from the Tbilisi State Univerity (TSU) to Rustaveli Avenue from 5 p.m. in support of the “generation of dignity.”

Giorgi Vashadze described the December 6 developments at the protests as the “night of terror” and remarked that nobody would avoid punishment for cruelty.

According to Vashadze, the youngsters were besieged, with no exit provided and children were abducted from their parents.

“People were detained for flying Georgian flags and singing national anthem. We have never seen arrests of actors, professors, youngsters and such violence against them. Over 100 people are victims of violence. I want to tell those hiding their faces behind masks, do you think masks will protect you? All of you will be held responsible for this cruelty, not only the regime leaders but all who hide behind masks. Nobody will evade punishment. There are national and international mechanisms and everybody will be revealed,” he said.

Giorgi Vashadze called on MIA representatives to distance themselves from violence, while the international community – to speed up sanctions.
