PM: GD government added EU membership aspiration to Constitution

The Georgian Dream government added a provision to the Constitution of Georgia about the country’s ambition to become a full member of the European Union, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said at the EU Enlargement Summit in Brussels, organized by Euronews.

He said Georgian society remained committed to the goal of joining the European Union.

“Georgian society is committed to this goal. With this goal in mind, they elected us again in the recent parliamentary elections in 2024. Our key slogan in these elections was ‘With Dignity Towards Europe,’” Kobakhidze said.
