UN to spend USD 100 million on different projects in Georgia

The United Nations and its 16 agencies will spend USD 100 million on different projects in 2019-2020 in Georgia – the priorities of UN for the next 2 years were presented to the Georgian government together with the annual report of 2018 by Louisa Vinton, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Georgia.

Progress in different directions was discussed during the meeting including democratic rule, employment, social maintenance, education, healthcare, security and sustainable development.

Transformation on the parliamentary rule was named as one of the main achievements for 2018. “The main goal of UN’s work in Georgia is not to leave a single person beyond development,” Vinton claimed.
