U.S. Embassy: U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency delivered nearly $500,000 in personal protective equipment to Georgia
The Embassy of the United States in Georgia has released information about the equipment provided to various agencies of Georgia by the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).
According to the statement released by the embassy, this equipment will help Georgia’s health care authorities ensure they are able to respond to the threat of COVID-19 in a safe and sanitary environment
“This month the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) delivered nearly $500,000 in personal protective equipment to the Georgian Border Police, Emergency Management Services, State Laboratory of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Internal Affairs. This equipment included goggles, safety shields, disinfection spray, respirator units, infrared thermometers, and coverall suits. This assistance will help Georgia’s health care authorities ensure they are able to respond to the threat of COVID-19 in a safe and sanitary environment” – the statement reads.
