Anthony Fauci: Covid vaccine could come as soon as December

U.S. infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci said a Covid-19 vaccine could be available in the United States before the end of the year, BBC reported.

The US government scientist says the first doses would go to people according to a set prioritisation – and that it would take “several months into 2021” before it was more widely available.

He told the BBC’s Andrew Marr “we would know if a vaccine was safe and effective by the end of November [or] the beginning of December”.
