Anri Okhanashvili: Bidzina Ivanishvili repeatedly confirmed loyalty to homeland, so threat of sanctions scares no one

“Blackmail, threats like ‘you either refuse to protect the state interests or I’ll sanction you’ does not work”, said Anri Okhanashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Issues.

He noted, “Bidzina Ivanishvili, the honorary chairman of the Georgian Dream, has repeatedly confirmed his devotion to the country, and therefore the threat of sanctions will scare no one.”

“There may be issues where partners could not agree, but that does not mean and does not allow the partner to interfere with the country’s internal affairs. The partnership means equality-based relations,” Okhanashvili added.
