Ekaterine Tikaradze held talks with heads of the National Institutes of Health
Within the visit to the United States, the Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia Ekaterine Tikaradze hold meetings with the heads of the National Institutes of Health.
According to the Ministry of Health, bilateral talks were held with Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
Ekaterine Tikaradze spoke about ongoing and planned reforms, including in the direction of the infections control.
The talks focused on Georgian-American projects that have been successfully implemented for years.
Anthony Fauci, director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases positively assessed the meeting with Minister and spoke about the future plans.
“Today’s meeting with the Minister was successful and productive. She well understands the problems and challenges in our field. We are glad that our friendship with Georgia continues. We are especially pleased with the fact that we have to work more often with the current Minister of Health”, – said Director of NIAID.
