Two-stage practical test to be introduced for obtaining driving license

A two-stage practical test will be introduced for obtaining a driving license – The corresponding change is proposed to be made into Law on Road Movement. The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is the author of the amendment.

Based on the draft-project, the first stage of a practical test envisages carrying out special maneuvers in a closed examination territory. The second test will be taken under conditions of real traffic movement on a route approved by the MIA.

Introduction of the two-stage practical testing aims at ensuring traffic security and reduction of road accidents.
