Transparency of Foreign Influence Bill causes altercations during first reading debate

The discussion of the draft law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” in parliament is taking place against the backdrop of verbal altercations.

At the plenary session, opposition MP Levan Khabeishvili and member of the People’s Power party Mikheil Kavelashvili rowed with each other.

Kavelashvili called Khabeishvili a clown. “Don’t touch anything, I’m warning you. You understand what I’m saying. It’s better to stop,” Kavelashvili addressed Khabeishvili.

The plenary is debating the Georgian Dream-tabled bill on the Transparency of Foreign Influence in the first reading.
