Tea Akhvlediani, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality has held a meeting with Co-Chairs of Geneva Discussions.
State Minister discussed the situation in occupied regions concerning security and human rights with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar, UN Special Representative Jihan Sultanoglu and OSCE Chairman-in-Office for the South Caucasus Rudolf Michalka.
According to the Office of the State Minister, Tea Akhvlediani discussed in detail the grave challenges of security, gross human rights violations, socio-economic and humanitarian issues, both in the occupied regions and along the occupation line.
The State Minister drew special attention to the illegal actions of the occupation regime, including so-called borderization, kidnappings and illegal arrests, which have not stopped even during the pandemic and continue up to date. In this regard, the ongoing ‘borderization’ process in Khurvaleti was underlined.
EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar said that during the meeting the future co-operation issues have been agreed.
