Tbilisi Sakrebulo approves new composition of city government

Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) approved the new composition of the city government, endorsing the candidates nominated by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze for the posts of deputy mayors, heads of municipal services and governors.

Kakha Kaladze addressed the Sakrebulo members and extended his gratitude for support in the local elections.

“We will do our best to serve our city and address numerous problems. The population entrusted us with their resolution. We have ambitious plans and concrete projects. My team and I are dedicated to working tirelessly to serve our city and the residents of Tbilisi, with your support,” he said.

Based on the Sakrebulo decision, Giorgi Tkemaladze will be the capital’s Vice Mayor, while deputy mayors will be Irakli Bendeliani, Andria Basilaia and Kakha Abuladze.

Head of Tbilisi City Hall’s Administration will be Vladimer Chighladze; Environment Protection Municipal Service Head – Paata Togonidze; Economic Development Municipal Service Head – Vakhtang Lomjaria; Tbilisi Municipal Inspection Head -Gogi Chikovani; Infrastructure Development Municipal Service Head – Giorgi Abutidze, Legal Affairs Municipal Service Head – Sergo Birkadze; Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs Municipal Service Head – Irakli Gvilava; Finance Municipal Service Head – Gaioz Talakvadze; Municipal Procurement Municipal Service Head – Davit Malania; Health and Social ServiceMunicipal Service Head – Gela Chiviashvili; Security Municipal Service Head – Nikoloz Chonkadze.

Davit Makatsaria will serve as Chughureti District Governor, Davit Gelovani – Didube Governor, Besik Kaladze – Gldani Governor, Levan Kipiani – Vake Governor, Akaki Khlabustov – Isani Governor, Lasha Tsaguria – Krtsanisi Governor, Davit Kirkitadze – Mtatsminda Governor, Irakli Andghuladze – Nadzaladevi Governor, Gaioz Vasadze – Saburtalo Governor, Kakha Samkharadze – Samgoni Governor.
