Tbilisi Mayor wishes success to Trump in "Deep State" fight, calls MEGOBARI Act "hostile"

“The MEGOBARI Act has nothing in common with friendship. It is a hostile act targeted against our country,” Tbilisi Mayor and Georgian Dream party’s General Secretary, Kakha Kaladze, declared.

According to Kaladze, the MEGOBARI Act is founded on falsehoods and inaccurate information.

“We are observing the process. We have clarified many times that President Trump is engaged in a fight against the ‘Deep State,’ which is deeply rooted in Georgia and other countries. This struggle persists,” Kaladze stated.

He reiterated his stance on the Act: “This act has nothing in common with friendship; it is a hostile act targeted against our country. Contextually, it is primarily based on lies, false information, and incorrect facts. Therefore, it cannot be friendly. On the contrary, it is a hostile act.”

“We support and wish success to President Trump in his fight against the ‘Deep State.’ If he manages to defeat the ‘Deep State,’ this will have a positive impact on our country,” Kaladze added.

Kakha Kaladze further stated that the current government is committed to doing its utmost to strengthen Georgia’s independence and sovereignty, which he described as “valuable for each patriotic individual.”

On May 6, the U.S. House of Representatives reviewed and passed the Mobilising and Enhancing Georgia’s Options for Building Accountability, Resilience, and Independence Act, also known as the MEGOBARI Act.
