Tbilisi Mayor: Those who speak against country have nothing to do with interests of Georgia and Georgians

“People who make statements against the country have nothing to do with the interests of Georgia and Georgians,” declared Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.

Kaladze responded to the remarks made by Eka Gigauri, Director of Transparency International Georgia, during a session of the Dutch Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

“These individuals are nothing more than numbered agents and traitors. We all understand how this system functions: they are funded from abroad to serve their foreign benefactors and betray their own nation. It is no surprise that they issue statements against Georgia, sometimes calling for the suspension of visa liberalisation, at other times demanding the cancellation of our EU candidate status, and so on. I can hardly even consider them Georgians. These traitors used to travel to Brussels, roam around offices, and did not even hide their involvement in such activities.

Consequently, the fact that they now lack influence within Georgian society and are seen as devalued and scattered is a direct result of the actions they have taken. People see clearly and assess who serves whom. One thing is certain: these individuals have nothing to do with Georgia or the interests of its people,” the capital’s mayor emphasised.
