Tbilisi Mayor says City Assembly should be staffed by professionals, patriots to address challenges
“We have many challenges ahead. Therefore, the City Assembly (Sakrebulo) should be staffed by professional and patriotic individuals,” said Tbilisi Mayor and the candidate for Tbilisi Mayoral post from the Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia, presenting the proportional list in Sakrebulo.
Kaladze accentuated responsibility since Tbilisi was the image of Georgia’s history, culture and identity, as well as the “symbol of the nation’s unity, victories and progress.”
According to Kakha Kaladze, like any other cities, Tbilisi requires constant renewal, more recreational spaces, developed infrastructure, a comfortable residential environment, and preservation of history.
“It needs more renovations and transformation into a modern city, and all the reforms we have implemented for the last 8 years serve this goal,” he said.
Tbilisi mayor spoke about reconstructed squares and parks, modernized old streets and squares, the program of replacement of outdated buildings with new residential bloc of apartments, sports complexes, and accessibility to social and healthcare services.
Tbilisi Mayor thanked employees of the City Hall and highlighted the role of Tbilisi Sakrebulo in the implementation of various projects. He said Sakrebulo was the “key body responsible for the city development.”
“Through close cooperation with Sakrebulo and the commitment taken before Tbilisi residents, we have made vital decisions for the city’s development. We have many challenges ahead. Therefore, the Sakrebulo should be staffed by professional, dedicated and patriotic individuals, who will transform votes of our citizens into concrete decisions,” he concluded.
