Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze swore on Wednesday to “fully answer the law if even the slightest guilt of mine is revealed.”
Alluding to the Vake Park tragedy, Kaladze said the probe should answer the concerns raised by the event.
“Nine people have been arrested, including a City Hall employee. I have no authority to evaluate the inquiry. Everyone is accountable and equal in the eyes of the law.
I hope that everyone will know the truth and that there will be no questions “, explained Kakha Kaladze.
On 13 October, three minors were electrocuted while attempting to retrieve a ball that had fallen into the Vake Park fountain. One died, while the other two survived.
