Tbilisi Mayor on party bans: Hundreds of millions were spent over years to create these groupings of traitors
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has stated that every political party engaged in organising coups d’état, violating the Constitution, and serving the interests of foreign powers is an agent organisation.
“Every political party engaged in organising coups d’état, violating the Constitution of Georgia, and serving the representatives of foreign countries; everyone knows they are agent organisations. These were built up over the years; hundreds of millions were spent creating these groupings, these traitors. This pattern is not unique to Georgia. Wherever political interests are at stake, the same approach is applied, and this scheme has been thoroughly decoded. We all know perfectly well who is funded from where, who their patrons are, and what their principal objective is. Accordingly, the state will always respond,” declared Kakha Kaladze in response to a journalist’s question regarding the constitutional lawsuit seeking the banning of several parties.
As for the question concerning plans for yet another revolutionary scenario in Georgia, the Mayor of the capital replied that hostile activity is ongoing, but that the relevant state services are equal to the task and that everything will be met with a firm response.
“Hostile activity continues. We all know where the funding comes from, who is behind all of this, and what their primary interest is. Everyone has been exposed. In previous years, there were several attempts to stage a revolution in Georgia, and training sessions were held to that end. You will recall how those training sessions were packaged, presented as being held for the parents of children suffering from serious illness, with money being taken for that purpose, whilst in reality what was being discussed was the revolutionary scenario: who should act in what way, what processes should unfold, and so forth. It is the same now. These enemies of the country are not stopping. They are attempting to deepen polarisation, to set people against one another. However, the state services are equal to the task, and anyone who commits any violation of the law will face an immediate and very severe response,” Kakha Kaladze stated.
