Tbilisi Mayor Kaladze says Georgia is ready to begin new chapter in U.S. relations; exciting developments expected in April
“The Georgian government is prepared to forge a new chapter in its relations with the United States. We do not seek mere patrons; we need genuine friends and partners,” said Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi, during a live broadcast of Night Courier on Rustavi 2 TV, commenting on a telephone conversation between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
Regarding U.S.-Georgia relations, he mentioned that various types of meetings are scheduled for April, which he hopes will bring joy and pride to the people of Georgia.
“We very much hope that these relations will commence a new chapter. Let’s wait and see concrete developments. As you are aware, April has been designated as a month of important meetings, and there will be some exciting news to share. I am certain that those who love our country and our city will be proud when this information becomes public very soon. This largely concerns our relations, future partnerships, and the deepening of ties between us. I will refrain from sharing further details at this stage; let’s wait for the unfolding of events. Everything will become evident in due course,” Kaladze remarked.
