Tbilisi Mayor: How can someone who loves our country be on agents’ side?

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has stated that opposition parties in Georgia are being directed from outside the country and will do whatever they are told.

Kaladze made these remarks in response to an audio recording released by the coalition Lelo-Strong Georgia, which they claim demonstrates an attempt to pressure one of their single-mandate candidates.

“A network of agents has been established within the country; we can’t even truly call them political parties. They are groups comprised of stateless individuals who serve external interests. They will carry out whatever instructions they receive. They are at the mercy of outside forces; they belong neither to their own families nor to themselves, nor to the nation.

How can someone who genuinely loves our country, who is pleased with its development, progress, peace, and economic prosperity, stand with such agents? It is simply unthinkable,” the Mayor of Tbilisi said.
