Tbilisi Mayor: Gakharia's party appeared to be most insightful, recognising boycott as unwise move

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze believes that the members of the Gakharia For Georgia party made the right decision in opting to take their parliamentary mandates.

Responding to a relevant question, Tbilisi Mayor emphasised that the Georgian people have already granted legitimacy to the parliament.

“Of course, Gakharia’s party cannot bestow legitimacy upon the parliament; that legitimacy comes from the Georgian people. The people have already endorsed Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia and the current parliament.

As for that particular party, it was a very wise decision. When we consider the opposition spectrum and that network of traitorous agents, at least they have shown some intelligence; they conducted an analysis, assessed the situation, and recognised that boycotting the parliament was unwise. Of course, this has only harmed certain political parties and politicians. The Georgian Dream and the parliament have lost nothing from this,” said Kakha Kaladze.
