Tbilisi Mayor: Agents, traitors and political forces controlled from abroad must not be in Georgian politics

“The most crucial and important thing is that agents, traitors and those political forces which are controlled from abroad and carry out the orders of foreign powers must not be in Georgian politics,” the capital’s mayor, Kakha Kaladze, told journalists today regarding the preparation of a constitutional lawsuit for banning political parties.

Additionally, Kakha Kaladze noted that the policies implemented by certain political parties proved extremely damaging for the country, and this tragedy remains unhealed to this day.

“Regarding the banning of parties, you can see what processes are unfolding. There exist in the country political parties which are controlled from abroad and carry out foreign assignments. This, naturally, is extremely grave.

The specific political parties in power and the policies they implemented have proven to be extremely damaging to our country, an enormous tragedy and burden that remains unhealed to this day. Take, for example, the 2008 war.

There are very many questions regarding the decisions and policies which these people implemented whilst in power. Accordingly, these questions require answers,” the Mayor of Tbilisi stated.

When asked about the timing of the submission of the relevant petition to the Constitutional Court, Kakha Kaladze noted that an announcement would be made once a decision has been taken.
