Tbilisi Kindergartens Management Agency enacts temporary risk protocol following norovirus cases

“A temporary risk management protocol based on epidemiological recommendations has been enacted across Tbilisi public kindergartens following confirmed cases of norovirus,” the Tbilisi Kindergartens Management Agency announced.

According to the agency, the capital’s nursery and kindergarten network has shifted to emergency operating protocols.

“Disinfection work has been conducted across all kindergartens. In parallel, hygiene controls and monitoring have been intensified across all facilities. High-touch surfaces and rooms are disinfected every 2 hours, with a full deep cleaning carried out at the end of each shift. In addition, temporary changes have been introduced to catering menus and the daily use of educational toys and materials. We remind the public that these are temporary measures, and children will return to their routine as soon as they conclude,” the Tbilisi Kindergartens Management Agency statement reads.
